Setting your little one up for success

About Little Log Learning

Little Log Learning supports young children and their families in building strong foundations for school readiness with a hands-on, play-based approach. It was created in response to the gaps identified in children in their early years of schooling and is designed to help bridge the gaps and set little learners up for success in their academic journey.

Our workshops and resources focus on practical experiences that help children grow their skills in a calm and supportive way. Every activity is intentionally designed to be meaningful, developmentally appropriate and allow parents to continue the learning at home. At Little Log Learning, we believe that little moments build big learning. We aim to partner with families by providing clear guidance, simple strategies, and reassurance so children feel capable, parents feel confident, and learning feels joyful.

We're more than workshops

Little Log Learning

Our workshops are thoughtfully designed to provide purposeful learning in a hands-on, play-based approach. They target the skills children need for school readiness, confidence, independence, motor, early literacy and numeracy and creative thinking.  Each workshop also provides meaningful support for families with practical strategies they can continue at home.

Little Log Library

The Little Log Library is a collection of downloadable resources designed to support learning at home. With activities across different areas of learning and skills families can choose the level of support that best suits their child. Each resource is thoughtfully created to be practical, play-based, and easy to use, helping children build confidence and key skills through everyday learning moments, while giving parents clear guidance and reassurance along the way.

Little Log Letter

The Little Log Letter is a monthly newsletter created to support families throughout the school year with simple and practical guidance around school readiness and early learning. Each addition shares insights into the key foundational stepping stones and provides easy activities, play ideas and parent- friendly advice. The Little Log Letter also helps families stay up to date with learning focuses, new resources, and upcoming workshops offering reassurance, clarity, and small steps that make a big difference.

Meet Miss Emma

Hi, I’m Miss Emma, a qualified Queensland primary teacher with a lifelong passion for teaching and supporting children in their early years. My journey into education has been shaped by creativity, play, and a strong belief that learning should feel joyful, safe, and confidence-building.

I bring a warm and approachable style to everything I do. Whether it’s through hands-on arts and crafts, celebrating the little wins, sharing a laugh, helping children feel proud of what they can do or showing off a new pair of crazy earrings. I believe the best learning happens when children are engaged, supported, and enjoying the process.

I understand that school doesn’t always come easily, and my goal is to support children in building strong foundations while reassuring families along the way. With plenty of creativity, a little humour, and yes, a lot of coffee, I’m passionate about helping little learners feel confident, capable, and ready for what’s next.
